Our current campaigns are for

1.  Digital Mammography

Our goal is to provide women of the Kootenay Boundary with the gold standard in breast imaging:  Digital Mammography with Stereotactic capabilities.

Consistent image quality, slightly less radiation, faster more reliable diagnosis, and better detection of abnormalities in patients with dense breasts.

We want to provide women, when further diagnostic testing is necessary, with a less invasive procedure, better cosmetic outcomes, a quicker recovery, and faster results.

Digital Mammography with Stereotactic capabilities is just that.

Our new machine will have the ability to have breast biopsy done in the mammography room, not the OR!  This means that biopsies will be done with a needle, not invasive surgery.  No general anaesthetic, no OR time needed for a diagnosis, no stitches, less scarring, faster recovery time, and faster results. 

2. Greatest Need Fund:  this account funds needs across KBRH, Poplar Ridge and Columbia View Lodge.
